PCDM picks up from the following Lexington District One Schools:

Pleasant Hill Elementary & Middle School
Lake Murray Elementary
Rocky Creek Elementary
Centerville Elementary
Gilbert Elementary
Deerfield Elementary 

As buses arrive, each child will be able to have a snack, use the restroom, play outside, and then
have anywhere from 20-40 minutes to do homework. We will start our rotations at 4:00 every day.
We have three rotations every afternoon. The rotation details are covered below. 

Rotation Explanations:

Care: This rotation is to talk about God’s love for us and how we love him and show love to others.

  • Related Activities and Crafts

  • Weekly Memory Verse

Multi(purpose): This rotation is to use our imaginations, practice our collaboration skills, and to just have fun! 

  • Manipulative centers
  • Board & Card Games
  • Group Bingo
  • Reading
  • Weekly theme craft
  • Group projects/challenges (coloring/word search/book writing/creating board games)
  • STEM activities
  • Free draw
  • Playground (when available)

Recreational: This rotation is to get our bodies moving and utilize our gross motor skills while learning fun games and working together.

  • Big group games
  • Sports (Soccer, volleyball, kickball)
  • Obstacle course
  • Gross Motor Activities
  • Playground

Extra Activities:

  • Library Outreach: Lexington Library visits us monthly to share fun stories and activities.
  • Mission Lexington: We will be partnering with Mission Lexington this year to learn how to support our community and spread kindness.
  • Pisgah Pals: This is a leadership program we are implementing later in the year for 3rd-6th graders to learn how to be positive role models to our younger students. More information to come later.
  • Yoga: We offer Yoga once a week for an additional fee with Mrs. D’Etta Broam. Mrs. D’Etta is a retired elementary school counselor and has received her Master of Arts in Christian Ministry as well as her Yoga Therapist certification. Her yoga class is all about encouraging others to be their best selves, discovering balance in mind, body, heart, and LIGHT!
